Fabric Run

Yesterday I headed to Sewing Party in Laguna Hills, to my suprise they moved their store a few days earlier than planned. I headed around the corner to their new location and found there were many busy hands setting up the new store. While they were not open for business they allowed me to purchase the 3 fat quarters I needed to finish a quilt I'm working on (mank thanks to them). They're set to re-open by the end of the week, can't wait to see the new store, the sneak peak I received was definitey exciting!
This week I'll be working on a quilt for my daughter and son-in-law who love to travel. It's from the 'Peace on Earth' MODA 3 Sisters collection. It's a bit christmasy in color but not so much to not use throughout the year.  I actually purchased this fabric a year (or two) ago and am just getting around to putting it togeter. I hope they will LOVE it!

Sewing Party Store News!

Today I went to one of my favorite quilt shops - Sewing Party in Laguna Hills.  Every time I go I find new fabrics I could swear weren't there before.  They have a huge selection of Michael Miller, Free Spirit (most designers) among others. When you walk in you're greeted by a vignette of shabby chic fabrics (my favorite), as you wander through this small store you'll see it's size does not limit the amount of fabrics they carry. All the way in the back is their clearance area, I always seem to find something new back there. I recently learned they're moving to a larger location the 1st of April 2011 ~ yippee!!
